How It All Began…
Lindsey and Adam’s story is one of serendipity, shared passions, and perfect timing. Both grew up in the Phoenix area, yet their paths never crossed—a surprise given their shared interests and mutual connections. Life eventually took them away from their desert home: Lindsey moved to New York City, while Adam’s journey led him to Boston, Savannah, and Los Angeles. But as fate would have it, a global pandemic brought them back to Arizona. It was there, in February of 2022, that a simple match on a dating app turned into something extraordinary.
One of their initial interactions on the app was something for the books. “Hi, Andrew, I would love to meet up. Here’s my number,” Lindsey wrote to Adam. Moments later, she followed up with, “Sorry, I mistyped my phone number—here’s the correct one!” Adam couldn’t help but reply with a playful tease: “That’s not the only mistake you made—my name is actually Adam.” The exchange set the tone for what would become a relationship filled with laughter, connection, and shared experiences.
Their first date was casual but full of effortless conversation and laughter, over lunch near Lindsey’s work. It was on their second date, Valentine’s Day 2022, that something truly special began to take shape. Over sukiyaki at Adam’s favorite family-owned Japanese restaurant and hours of conversation under the stars, it became clear that they shared something unique.
From the start, it was evident how much Lindsey and Adam had in common. They share a deep love for music—Lindsey as a singer and Adam as a music producer and sound designer—and a passion for food, travel, and exploring different cultures. They both cherish time spent with family and friends and are united by their similar values and outlook on life. Together, they embrace new experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm, sharing a deep bond that makes every moment together more meaningful. At the heart of their life together is their beloved dog, Nymeria.
By early 2023, Lindsey had moved into Adam’s apartment (one that she initially found for him), and their life together felt natural and fulfilling. That October, Lindsey and Adam took a weekend drive to Flagstaff that they would never forget. While hiking the Aspen Loop Trail, Adam surprised Lindsey by proposing to her with a beautiful emerald tennis bracelet—a thoughtful nod to her affinity for emeralds. Knowing how particular Lindsey is about her choices, Adam suggested they pick out an engagement ring together, adding yet another meaningful and unforgettable moment to their story.
Neither Lindsey nor Adam could have imagined how their lives would change after they returned to Arizona. What began as an unexpected upheaval—moving home at the start of a global pandemic—evolved into the greatest blessing. The twists and turns of life brought them back to where they started, but this time, they found each other. Now, as they prepare for their wedding and their future together, Lindsey and Adam feel grateful for the journey that led them here, the family and friends who have supported them, and the exciting life of love, laughter, and discovery that lies ahead.
